* Village Trailer Park Draft Environmental Impact Report
The Village Trailer Park Draft Environmental Impact Report barely conceals that the proposed demolition of Village Trailer Park is supported (!) by the Santa Monica planning department. Judging by the fact that the report did not even get the number of existing buildings on the site correct, none of its authors even visited the site!
**Landmarks Commission Decision appealed!
An appeal of denial of application to declare Village Trailer Park (without trailers) a City Landmark, failure of Landmarks Commission to consider declaring subject property [2930 Colorado Avenue] an Historic District (with trailers) and Certificate of Appropriateness for future replacement trailers has been filed. The appeal was filed and then City Hall said they changed their mind because they only fee waiver for council members and would not accept the fee waiver filed with this appeal

Bergamot Transit Village Center (aka Papermate Factory) Draft Environmental Impact Report
The public comment deadline for the Bergamot Transit Village Center (aka Papermate Factory) Draft Environmental Impact Report was March 12. Produced under the aegis of worldwide planning warrios Atkins, this warhorse weighed in at 8610 pages, excluding the mysterious Appendix D which was being kept chained up at City Hall. So you can relax now after reading this monster, dashing into City Hall to visit Appendix D in its native habitat and THEN turning in your comments. And, as predicted, while you were so busy with all that, informants say that several slick moves by the local agencies trying to steal your home were launched! We’ll keep you posted.

ROBERTS CENTER DEIR COMMENTS
Read the document
The Roberts Center DEIR continues the long tradition of pretending that Village Trailer Park has been demolished already. On page 65 it proudly shows how it has been replaced by a cluster of buildings in a form vaguely resembling a layout already submitted as a proposal to demolish the Park (by another developer?). It clearly demonstrates how related the Village Trailer Park and Roberts Business Park sites are in the minds of the land use designers that authored the DEIR.

VILLAGE TRAILER PARK FEIR
The VTP Final Environmental Impact Report, although heralded as the explosion of light by which we might see the error of our ways in objecting to the bulldozing of the Park, turned out to be a damp squib, which is not surprising considering it was derived from a draft that was based on the barest minimum of site visits (if any at all) by its authors!. Clearly their main purpose was to rush through an Agreement with a developer to bulldoze the Park by "snowing" the decision makers. Read some of the reasons ( filed before the July 24 City Council meeting ) why such an agreement would be illegal. Other comments were filed then also.

VILLAGE TRAILER PARK RECIRCULATED EIR
The Recirculated version of the EIR introduces a whole new concept for use of the site delineated in the FEIR. Its land use plan divides and forces residents to live as serfs in the shadow of the manor house through creating 3 different kinds of residential use configured as 2 ghettos and 1 luxury condominium area. The document exemplifies a rushed job par excellence and begged some questions. These were posed in comments filed on October 15. The REIR turns out to be so conclusory that it is bound to give rise to hundreds more! Some of these were filed a few days later as supplementary comments.
